How to play Block Puzzle

Start Block Puzzle by looking at the playing area and its controls. Place pieces and clear rows/columns until no offered shape fits. Look at what changes after your first action. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Place shapes on an 8×8 board and clear full lines. The round ends when none of the current shapes fits.

Notice the feedback

Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your goal

Place pieces and clear rows/columns until no offered shape fits. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Start with a deliberate move.

Step by step

  1. Select a shape.
  2. Select its top-left board position.
  3. Clear full rows and columns.
  4. Use all three offered pieces to receive a new set.

Controls

Select a piece, then a board cell. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.

A useful example

One placement can clear both a row and a column. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Take a moment to compare.

Watch out for this

Pieces cannot rotate in this edition. Compare the situation with the worked example. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
