How to play Bubble Shooter

Bubble Shooter gives you a focused activity to play in your browser. Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Original hexagonal matching board and bouncing projectiles.

A useful comparison

Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your goal

Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Check the rules when you are unsure.

Step by step

  1. Aim and fire.
  2. Attach bubbles to the cluster.
  3. Groups of three or more equal colours disappear.
  4. Floating groups drop; five misses lower the ceiling.

Controls

Pointer/touch aim, angle controls and Fire. Use the control method described here for this activity. Return to the rules if the result is unexpected.

A useful example

Removing one support can drop a larger mixed-colour group below it. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Look for the relevant detail.

Watch out for this

Contact with a different colour is not a match. Check the rule before repeating the action. Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow.
